How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware, and online- in this project? I have integrated a lot of technologies, throughout span of me working on the project. When it came to planning out the design of the magazine and where everything went Microsoft publisher was used. For a majority of my pictures I used screen shot on my computer. For my main articles, there is a option where to can watch replays of yore old games. So in order for me to show off the new add-ons to the game, I had to go into games and pose in game. After that I would go back into the replay and angle the camera so that I would get the best view possible. After that was done I  would then take that image and put it into photoshop and edit it so that it looks good. Once all of that is done over roughly the span of an hour. I would go back into the replay and get another image of a new add on to the game. When it came to editing the images I used photoshop, that I bought a while ago on my computer. On...

How did your production skills  develop throughout this project? Throughout the duration of this project I have had the chance to improve on  a lot of the skills that were already underneath my belt. I have not only been able to polish those skills throughout this project but also have learned a lot more. That mainly being photo editing and research. I spend a lot of time trying to get the right angles and such. Another major thing that I learned has to do with the research aspect. Since I was creating a magazine it is important that all of your information is correct, and since the subject is fairly new often times the information is put out there without being checked. Since I wanted to never lie or disappoint the readers, I learned to always make sure that my information is correct and if that meant to wait a little bit longer and make sure that it was correct then so be it.

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? MY product will engage with the audience because all of the content will be new and relevant information's that the reader will eagerly wish to know. That information will appeal mainly to "Gamers" or people who just love tech and new games. In the case of my magazine the options of digital distribution will be relied on heavily. Since out audience is mainly people who use technology a lot it makes sense that the magazine is online. Another major reason why digital distribution is so beneficial is because it benefits all. It would then cut costs since we do not have to print as many physical copies and it would allow for me to spend money elsewhere.  Another  method I would use is distributing through live streams. The magazine would sponsor streamers on platforms  such as twitch. Having a small banner on the screen where people can click on it and it will take them to t...

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? The magazine that I had created uses conventions in the tech genre  such as certain designs and layouts. The largest inspiration for a majority of my magazine came from Game Informer. The color scheme was chosen based on how the colors of black, white, blue, and grey work together and make an eye pleasing color palate throughout the magazine. The fonts of the magazine are representative of a typical eSports and technology magazines. The cover is a simple screen capture enticing the reading for what they can find inside of the magazine. The main article  also uses conventions  by having plenty of pictures on what the passage is about. My magazine represents a fairly large social group, with that group being people  who are interested in gaming and technology related topics. This group doesn't have a certain socioeconomic group since the topic can be loved by anyone...

Distribution Plan

Image
I will make sure that the whole distribution plan will utilize all technological features allowing it to reach a larger audience since the factor of convince is far greater. And since most of my audience is "tech savvy' they will be able to obtain access to the magazine on any device whether being cellar or a desktop. Another  method I would use is distributing through live streams. The magazine would sponsor streamers on platforms  such as twitch. Having a small banner on the screen where people can click on it and it will take them to the magazines website where they can have access to our digital magazine. I would still print physical copies for a larger price. so that I may cover the entire reader spectrum.
